The Head Absolut Joy is a women's all-mountain ski, here as a set with the JOY 9 GW SLR binding. It is 80 mm underfoot and has a new shape that handles terrain both on and off the piste.
The inclined Better Balance base gives the same ramp angle for every boot sole. It puts you in a balanced stance, so turns are easy to start and the ski stays stable at speed. LYT Tech is built around light Karuba wood with graphene fully embedded. The tip and tail are thicker than the middle, and this V-shape gives easier steering, more stability and control. EMC converts kinetic energy into electric energy and damps vibrations for a smoother ride. A fiber jacket with ABS sidewalls makes skiing light and easy, with better shock absorption and edge grip. The profile is called Allride Rocker. The tip rises early, and the rest of the ski has camber. At 163 cm, the sidecut is 122-80-108 mm and the radius is 14.8 m. At the same length, the ski weighs 1773 g without binding.
The JOY 9 GW SLR is a light binding with a DIN range of 2.5-9. The toe has the TRP system, AFS and Full Diagonal release, which can release 180° both horizontally and vertically. The SLR Pro base has a wide contact area that transfers power without changing the ski's natural flex. The binding fits alpine boots and GripWalk boots.
