The K2 Commonwealth is a robust freeride snowboard for the intermediate to expert rider who wants a board built for high speed and steep terrain. It builds on the successful Passport geometry, but with a beefed-up feature set for those who want to charge harder, and it is designed and tested across genders.
A camber profile gives a powerful edge grip and pop, and the A1 core of bamboo, aspen and paulownia is aspen-dominant for snap and response, with bamboo underfoot for strength and better edge-to-edge response. The core is wrapped in a heavier triaxial fibreglass and layered in K2's patented Spectral Braid, which lets the tip-to-tail flex be fine-tuned independently of the torsional flex for a lively, energetic and composed ride. A wax-infused Sintered 4001 base from Crown holds wax longer for a faster, smoother glide, and a Snophobic topsheet reduces snow build-up on the way up and down.
