The Channel Shell Pant in Dark Umber is Oakley's uninsulated shell for snowboarders and skiers who want a loose cut and unrestricted movement. It is built around the brand's own FNDry 10K laminate in a two layer construction.
FNDry 10K means a 10,000 mm waterproof rating paired with 10,000 g breathability. That covers regular resort days with snow, wind and wet flurries, and it lets sweat vapour escape so you do not soak through from the inside. Critical seams are taped, sealing the spots that take the most water pressure. A Hydrofree DWR finish sits on the face fabric and makes moisture bead off before it can saturate the weave. The elasticated waistband carries a technical adjuster, so the pant stays put without a belt even with base and mid layers underneath. Two zippered hand pockets keep your pass and gloves secure, and a drawcord at the hem cinches the leg down over your boot. Inner boot gaiters block spindrift and deep snow. The fabric weighs 200 g and is woven from 55 percent recycled polyester and 45 percent polyester, cut to a baggy fit.
- Two layer FNDry 10K: waterproof and breathable shell
- Critically taped seams: sealed where water pushes hardest
- Hydrofree DWR: moisture beads off the surface
- Elasticated waist with tech adjuster: secure fit, no belt needed
- Two zippered hand pockets: essentials stay put
- Inner boot gaiters: snow stays out of the boot
- Adjustable hem drawcord: clean finish over the boot
- 55 percent recycled polyester: lower material impact
The Channel Shell Pant suits anyone who layers for themselves and wants a relaxed, wide cut in the park and on piste. With no insulation in the way, you set the warmth and the shell handles the weather.
