The RIDE C-8 is an entirely new direction for RIDE, which set out to design the smoothest-riding binding in the world. It is a high-end all-mountain binding with an aggressive response for the rider who wants a damp, smooth feel across the whole mountain.
The chassis is C-Series Performance with an aluminum heel cup paired with a glass-filled nylon tray, where 20% short-glass is injected for response. The reversible ankle strap has two riding positions, one aggressive and one more flexible, with a strong upper and a softer lower portion, while the Nylon highback gives a predictable blend of response and comfort. Up front sits a Minimalist Grip toe strap with a rigid exterior and a cored rubber inside, plus tool-less adjustment. Linkage Ratchets improve ladder durability and remove ratchet wag, and the canted footbed angles the foot 2.5 degrees with urethane PODS bonded under the heel and forefoot for a smoother ride.
