The double pleats open the silhouette and leave room for layers underneath without pulling across the thigh and hip. Closure is a double system of button and hook plus a zip fly, which keeps the waist where you set it. Adjustable Velcro straps at the waistband fine tune the fit, and belt loops leave room for your own belt. Zippered hand pockets sit up front with a zippered rear pocket for anything you cannot afford to lose. A drawcord pulls in the hem while snow gaiters with a metal hook seal around the boot.
