depart-01-black-white-neon-punch-l45450500
Départ. 01 - Skis

The Départ. 01 is Salomon's twintip for the park and the side hits along the run. It carries a 104 mm waist, a 14 metre radius and is sold without bindings.

The twintip shape gives tip and tail the same profile, so you can ride forwards and switch with equal confidence. The core is full wood, a blend of karuba and poplar. Karuba is light and gives the ski low inertia, making it quick to spin, while poplar holds things steady on landings. A titanal Ti Binding Reinforcement runs edge to edge underfoot for extra power and better grip when the surface is firm. Fibreglass adds torsional rigidity, and full sandwich sidewalls guarantee precise edge contact and smooth ski-to-snow contact. Salomon lists the terrain as park, powder and side hits, and rates the ski for advanced skiers.

Twintip: identical profile at tip and tail

Fibreglass: torsional rigidity without added weight

Karuba and poplar: light core with low inertia

Ti Binding Reinforcement: titanal from edge to edge

Full sandwich sidewalls: precise edge contact

14 metre radius: versatile turn shape

104 mm waist: float in soft snow

The colourway is Black/White/Neon Punch.
